5 things to know before taking lease

When I was searching for my office, I visited so many places to find my right match. And trust me I was so exhausted that I thought of signing up with some the office spaces that were not my first choice. And got some surprises when I found that some of them are not legally available for commercial use.

It was close, I would have ended up meeting a loss had I not discussed this with my friend. That was several years back however I see same challenges around even today.

so here is your checklist of things to keep in mind for your next deal.

  1. Property should have alternate entrances (Fire Exits)
  2. Property should legally be available for aforesaid usage.
  3. Look for Pending Bills/Dues, make sure you ask owner to clear them beforehand.
  4. Commercial operations certificate
  5. Check and read all Clauses in Lease agreement Carefully
